JSEDI Symposium 2015

Home

SEDI (Study of the Earth's Deep Interior) is one of committee in IUGG (International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics). An international SEDI symposium is held every two years to promote research on Earth and planetary deep interiors and to discuss scientific results on the research.

The 14th Symposium of SEDI was held in Japan from 3rd to 8th August 2014. Next year (2016), the 15th Symposium of SEDI will be held in Nantes, France. Between these international symposia, a Japan SEDI (JSEDI) symposium is held at Earthquake Research Institute, University of Tokyo from 24th to 26th September 2015.

We held JSEDI Symposium 2015 to aim at surveying the leading edge of SEDI, such as the structure, composition and dynamics of Earth and planetary deep interiors, from viewpoints of researchers in various fields, and discussing the present situation of SEDI in respective fields. As found in the program, the meeting featured four topics regarding the structure, composition and dynamics of the Earth and other planetary bodies. Each session included a 60 minutes keynote talk, two 30 minutes focused research talks, a poster session, and general discussion about all presentations in the session. We consider that this was a good opportunity for students and young researchers to obtain basic knowledge about SEDI and to discuss SEDI with researches in various fields. Furthermore, we expect that all participants developed motivation to investigate the structure, composition and dynamics of the Earth and other planetary bodies and enhanced consciousness of studying Earth and planetary deep interiors for the 15th Symposium of SEDI held in Nantes, France at late July 2016.

The JSEDI 2015 Abstract Volume (3,087,945 bytes) was uploaded.

Poster Presentation
Maximum size of a poster is 90 cm (W) x 120 cm (H).
Therefore the size of A0 portrait, 84.1 cm (W) x 118.9 cm (H), is recommended.
