MHDダイナモ


 地球磁場の成因を解明するために,電磁流体力学的(MHD: magnetohydrodynamic)ダイナモの数値計算を行っている. 最初のコードの開発者は,OBの飯島友邦氏. その後,棚橋芳生氏や佐藤淳子氏が受け継いだ. さらにその後,高橋 太氏が「地球シミュレータ」で計算するためのコードを開発した.
